The Warning Against Scoffing
Acts 13:40-41; Habakkuk 1:5; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

God's love doesn't negate His justice. The same God who faithfully keeps His promises also carries through with His warnings. To scoff at the gospel or casually ignore God's offer of salvation is to invite judgment. Hell isn't a popular topic, but Jesus spoke of it more than anyone else in Scripture. Eternal punishment is as real as eternal life. This warning isn't meant to manipulate through fear but to awaken us to reality. Many religious people who believe in God still haven't personally trusted in Christ's finished work. Don't let familiarity with the Easter story breed complacency. Respond today with urgency—for yourself and for those you love who remain outside of Christ.
