Voluntary Cooperation in Love
Ephesians 5:21-33

Marriage calls us to a radical countercultural posture: voluntary cooperation. This isn't about superiority or inferiority, but about willingly setting aside our rights for the sake of another. In our culture of individual rights and self-assertion, God calls married couples to something higher—mutual submission out of reverence for Christ. This military term speaks of order, not oppression. When we voluntarily cooperate with our spouse, we mirror Christ's sacrificial love for the church. Today, consider: Where are you holding tightly to your "rights" in marriage? What would it look like to release them for your spouse's good? Remember, you were called to give up your rights for the call of Christ.

Reflection Question: What specific "right" is God calling you to surrender today for the sake of your marriage?
