Bold Prayers in Hard Times
Acts 4:23-31

When threatened and released, the early church didn't pray for safety—they prayed for boldness. They asked God not to remove opposition but to empower them through it. This counterintuitive prayer reveals kingdom priorities: mission over comfort, courage over security, God's glory over personal peace. As you close this year and anticipate the next, what are you asking God for? Relief or resilience? Escape or endurance? The church prayed, and the place was shaken; they were filled with the Holy Spirit and continued speaking God's word with boldness. Your circumstances may not change, but your capacity can increase. Instead of asking God to change your situation, ask Him to change you in it. Pray for divine perspective that sees suffering as seed-planting opportunity. May 2026 find you scattered but sowing, pressed but preaching, suffering but still spreading the gospel wherever God plants you.
