Belief That Transforms
Acts 8:9-13; James 2:14-26

Simon the magician "believed" and was baptized, yet his heart remained unchanged. His story warns us that intellectual agreement isn't saving faith. Even demons believe and tremble. True faith produces transformation—a heart aligned with God's purposes, not our own ambitions. Simon wanted spiritual power for personal gain and recognition. His belief was transactional, not transformational. Saving faith surrenders control, repents genuinely, and seeks God's glory above self-promotion. It's the difference between worldly grief (regretting consequences) and godly grief (genuine repentance leading to life change). Examine your heart today: Is your faith about what God can do for you, or about surrendering completely to Him? True belief doesn't just acknowledge Jesus—it follows Him wholeheartedly.
