The Beginning of Partnership
Genesis 2:18-25

God's first declaration of "not good" in creation reveals something profound about His design for humanity. While God is completely sufficient in Himself, He created us with a need for companionship. Marriage wasn't an afterthought but a divine solution to human loneliness. Before sin entered the world, God established marriage as a sacred partnership. Notice that God didn't create Eve from Adam's head to rule over him, nor from his feet to be trampled, but from his side—to be his equal partner. This foundational truth reminds us that marriage is God's idea, designed for mutual support and companionship. Today, whether married or single, reflect on how God calls us into meaningful relationships that reflect His love and design.
