When God Calls the Ordinary
Acts 9:10-19

Ananias was an ordinary disciple whose name appears only briefly in Scripture, yet God chose him for an extraordinary task. When the Lord called him to minister to Saul, the notorious persecutor of Christians, Ananias could have disqualified himself based on his seeming insignificance. But God doesn't measure usefulness by worldly standards of influence or popularity. He looks for availability and obedience. Today, reflect on how you might be limiting God's work in your life by comparing yourself to others. Are you waiting to become "more spiritual" or "more qualified" before stepping out in faith? God is ready to use you right where you are. Your ordinary obedience can have an eternal impact you may never fully comprehend this side of heaven.
