Understanding Your Spouse
1 Corinthians 13:4-13

"Live with your wife according to knowledge," Peter instructs husbands. But this principle applies to all spouses: truly know your partner. Study them. What are their dreams, fears, gifts, and struggles? Too many marriages suffer not from lack of love, but lack of understanding. When you genuinely know your spouse, you create space for them to flourish. You celebrate their talents, support their aspirations, and protect their vulnerabilities. This requires intentionality—putting down your phone, asking meaningful questions, and listening without formulating your response. Love isn't just a feeling; it's an active pursuit of understanding. Today, commit to learning something new about your spouse—and then act on that knowledge in a way that honors them.

Reflection Question: When was the last time you asked your spouse about their hopes and dreams, and truly listened?
