Life Is More Than What You Own
Reading: Matthew 6:25 — where Jesus instructs his followers not to be anxious about material provisions, reminding them that life holds greater value than food or clothing
Devotional: It is easy to measure the worth of our lives by what we accumulate. A bigger house, a better car, a growing bank account — these become the silent scorecards of success. But Jesus draws a sharp line between existing and truly living. The Christian life was never designed to orbit around possessions. Material things are tools, not trophies. When we elevate them to goals, we quietly dethrone God from the center of our lives. Today, ask yourself honestly: what am I treating as the purpose of my life rather than the provision for it? Reorient your heart toward what is eternal.
