The Eternal Mindset
Reading: Colossians 3:1-4 and Matthew 6:33
Devotional: Paul urges believers in Colossians 3 to set their minds on things above, not on earthly things. This is not passive wishful thinking. It is an active, daily reorientation of the mind toward what God values. Jesus reinforces this in Matthew 6:33 by calling His followers to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that everything they need will be provided. The eternal mindset does not ignore the practical realities of life. It simply refuses to let those realities become the highest priority. Time, talent, and money are all resources entrusted to us for kingdom purposes.
Reflection Question: How would your use of time and money look different this week if you approached each day with a genuinely eternal perspective?
Practical Application: Choose one way to use your time or talents this week specifically for the benefit of someone else or for the advancement of the gospel, without any expectation of personal return.
