Walking by Faith Through Disappointment
Reading: Habakkuk 2:1-4; 3:17-19

Devotional: Habakkuk stands as one of Scripture's most powerful examples of faith refined through disappointment. He brought his complaint to God, he listened for God's answer, and then he made a choice. Even if the fig tree does not blossom, even if everything fails, he will still rejoice in the Lord. This is the destination that the journey through disappointment is meant to lead us toward. Not a blind denial of pain, but a deep, settled trust that God is good regardless of our circumstances. We tell God our hurt. We do not run. We listen. We trust. That is the full picture Jonah 4 places before us.

Practical Application: Memorize or write out Habakkuk 3:17-19 and place it somewhere visible this week. Let it serve as a daily declaration that your faith in God is not conditional on your circumstances.
