The Danger of Delayed Decisions
Hebrews 3:7-15

Felix heard the gospel. He felt the weight of it. He was alarmed, perhaps even frightened. And then he said he would deal with it another time. Hebrews 3 warns urgently against hardening the heart when God speaks. The word "today" appears repeatedly in that passage, and it is not accidental. God's invitation is always present-tense. Delayed obedience is a form of disobedience, and repeated delays have a way of becoming permanent silence toward God. The conscience that is pricked and then ignored grows calloused over time. Felix likely never found his convenient moment. Do not let today's conviction become tomorrow's regret.
