The Life of Christ on Display
2 Corinthians 4:10-12; Romans 6:8
Devotional: Paul writes that he carries the death of Jesus in his body so that the life of Jesus might also be displayed. This is one of the most profound paradoxes of the Christian life. It is through our dying — to self, to comfort, to control — that the resurrection life of Christ becomes visible to the world. Your scars, your cracks, and your imperfections are not things to hide. They are the very places where the light of Christ leaks through. The world does not need to see a polished, perfect version of you. The world needs to see a broken person held together by a risen Savior. That is the testimony that changes lives.
Reflection: Are there areas of your life where you have been hiding your struggles rather than allowing God to use them as a display of His grace and resurrection power?
Practical Application: Identify one person in your life who might be encouraged by hearing how God has sustained you through a specific hardship. Commit to sharing that story with them this week, giving glory to Christ in the telling.
