Christ, the Fulfillment of the Law
Reading: Colossians 2:16-17; Galatians 4:8-11; 1 Corinthians 5:7-8
Devotional: The Old Testament festivals, dietary laws, and customs were never meant to save us—they pointed forward to Jesus, who is the substance behind every shadow. Paul didn't teach Jewish believers to abandon their heritage; he taught that Jesus fulfilled it. The Passover lamb finds its ultimate meaning in Christ's sacrifice. The Feast of Unleavened Bread symbolizes our call to holy living. We must never confuse cultural practices with the gospel itself. Salvation comes through Christ alone, not through observing days or dietary restrictions. Yet we can appreciate these practices as beautiful reminders of God's redemptive plan. Today, thank God that Jesus is the fulfillment of every promise, and rest in His finished work rather than religious performance.
