Freedom Without Stumbling Blocks
Reading: Romans 14:13-23; 1 Corinthians 8:9-13

Devotional: Christian liberty is a beautiful gift, but it comes with responsibility. Paul teaches that while we may have freedom in Christ regarding disputable matters, love must govern how we exercise that freedom. The "stronger" believer understands their liberty but willingly restrains it to protect the conscience of the "weaker" brother. This isn't weakness—it's spiritual maturity. Paul himself paid for sacrifices and underwent purification rituals he didn't need to maintain unity. What freedoms might God be calling you to temporarily set aside for someone else's spiritual wellbeing? True strength isn't found in asserting our rights, but in bearing with others' limitations. Let love, not license, guide your choices today.
