Death as Rest for Believers
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Scripture describes Stephen's death with beautiful simplicity: "he fell asleep." For believers, death isn't an ending to fear but a transition to rest. Sleep is peaceful, restorative, and temporary—we wake to something better. This doesn't minimize grief; it transforms it with hope. If you're mourning a believer this season, remember they aren't lost—they're resting in Christ's presence. The separation is painful but temporary. One day, we'll be reunited with all who sleep in Jesus. This hope doesn't erase sorrow but anchors us in it. Death has lost its sting for those in Christ. Today, thank God that for His children, the grave is merely a doorway to eternal rest and joy in His presence.
