Forgiveness Like Christ
Luke 23:32-43

Stephen's final words echo Jesus' prayer from the cross: "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." How could someone pray for those murdering him? Stephen was so filled with the Holy Spirit that he naturally reflected Christ's character. Forgiveness isn't about excusing wrong or denying pain; it's about releasing others into God's hands. Who has wounded you? What grudge are you carrying? The Spirit empowers us to forgive the unforgivable, just as we have been forgiven. This kind of forgiveness isn't humanly possible—it's supernatural. When we walk in the Spirit, He transforms our hearts and enables us to love our enemies. Today, ask God to help you release any bitterness and extend grace to those who have hurt you.
