Boldness in the Face of Opposition
Acts 4:13-20, 29-31

The religious leaders commanded Peter and John to stop speaking about Jesus. Their response? They went to prayer and asked for more boldness. This is countercultural Christianity. The world threatens, and the church prays for courage. The culture says be silent, and believers ask God for a louder voice.

Boldness doesn't mean being obnoxious or unloving. It means speaking truth regardless of consequences. It means prioritizing God's approval over human acceptance. Peter and John had already declared, "We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard." They had encountered Jesus, and nothing could silence that testimony.

Have you lost your boldness? Has opposition—whether ridicule, rejection, or fear of consequences—muted your witness? Today, pray the early church's prayer: "Lord, grant me boldness to speak Your word." Then look for one opportunity today to share about Jesus with courage. Trust that the same God who answered their prayer will answer yours.
