Loved Enough for the Truth
Reading: Proverbs 27:5-6 | John 8:31-32

Devotional: Scripture tells us that Jesus looked at the rich young ruler and loved him. That detail is not incidental. It is the foundation of everything Jesus said next. The hard truth He spoke was not rejection; it was an act of deep love. Jesus loved this man too much to let him walk away with a comfortable but incomplete answer. Real love does not shield people from truth that could set them free. It speaks clearly, even when the message is difficult. God's love for you is the same. Every conviction, every correction, every call to surrender comes from a Father who loves you completely.

Reflection Questions:
Have you ever experienced a moment when God's truth felt uncomfortable but ultimately proved to be an act of His love toward you?
How does understanding that God's correction comes from love change the way you receive it?
Practical Application: Identify one area where you sense God has been speaking truth into your life that you have been reluctant to fully receive. Choose today to respond to that truth as an expression of trust in His love rather than resistance to His authority.
