Compassion in Suffering
Matthew 25:31-46
Our faith is lived out in how we respond to those who are suffering. In this passage, Jesus identifies Himself with the hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked, sick, and imprisoned. As you read, reflect on how you respond to those in need around you. Do you see Jesus in them? The author of Hebrews encourages us to remember those who are mistreated "as though you were suffering with them" (Heb 13:3). Today, pray for those who are suffering, especially for persecuted Christians around the world. Ask God to show you tangible ways you can alleviate suffering in your community. Remember, when we serve "the least of these," we are serving Christ Himself.
